Visited this friendly little spot a couple weeks back. Was there with my pup and did not realize they had a pup friendly outdoor area so win right off the bat. One of the servers was even kind enough to fill up my dogs water bowl before I even had a chance to ask, or fill it myself. Had a very tasty beer and the Brotzeit Sausage Platter with the Weisswurst and Bratwurst. Both the sausages were quite good, but the sides were a bit sad and lacking. Still had a great time and would absolutely come back to have a few beers and try a few more sausages.

Definitely German restaurant and Biergarten flair! The full menu has some pretty authentic German dishes. The home made lemon and grapefruit Radler are amazing (maybe a bit sour for some but I loved it). The one really big disappointment though was that they serve Weißwurst grilled and on Sauerkraut?l? And there is no sweet mustard. This can be considered an insult to a Bavarian! Especially since the Weißwurst itself is amazing, just served absolutely wrong! It needs to be heated in broth or at least hot water with a sacrifice Weißwurst and served with a Brezel, sweet mustard and a Hefeweizen. Pffft.. grilled on sauerkraut... !!?! The sad part was that I asked the server if it is served with a pretzel and sweet mustard and she said "sure you can add a pretzel and the mustards are on the table". I did not check until the grilled abomination was served but then I realized there was no sweet mustard to be found. My fault I guess... if I had known and double checked I'd ordered a bratwurst instead. And again the wurst itself would have been probably the best Weißwurst I've had in the states if prepared and served the traditional way.

Nice wait staff. Good food. Fish and chips were tasty. Fried fish was lightly battered and fried up crisp. Fried wwr like I & Out fries. Wiah the coleslaw had more flavor though. The Cilantro was a nice touch. We shared it was our first anniversary so they gave us two of the Underberg. That stuff is nasty. An acquired taste, for sure. Pretzel was warm and served with pickled red onions and a cream cheese / herb spread. There is a sign when you enter to NOT leave valuables in your car. Sure enough a SUV drove through the parking lot, smashed a windows on a customer's rental SUV and stole their luggage and laptop. Dammit! It only takes one person to ruin it. Staff sys there is security in the lot but wasn't right there, apparently. This might be ght keep us from returning. Not worth the risk.

Excellent views and brews on the Oakland waterfront. Four of us stopped by after a long work week, and had appetizers and beers. I opted for the Old Rasputin Imperial Stout ($9.50). This was strong (9.6% ABV) but refreshing with strong Chocolate and coffee flavors, which I enjoy. We also ordered a platter of bretzel and obadzta (aka large soft pretzel and herb cream cheese spread) to "soak" up the alcohol! The views from our table on the deck were picture perfect and the cool breeze was welcome after a hot day spent mostly outdoors. We will be back.
